Ashley M. Stevanovich and I Love Flowers

Ashley M. Stevanovich and I have similar interests, which are flowers. They make a room smell nice and add color. I like to display fresh flowers on a table in the front of the house. It’s a nice, natural decoration and when guests come over the first thing they smell is the flower display.

Some states have an official state flower, which is another special interest of Ashley M. Stevanovich. The first state I looked at to see what their state flower was is Florida, which is where Ashley M. Stevanovich is from. Coreopsis is the Florida state flower, which are a bright yellow and pink wildflower. This wildflower is part of Florida’s highway beautification program, which brighten up many roadsides in this state.

My favorite flower the Apple Blossom is Michigan’s state flower. They are pretty white flowers that are very fragrant. Michigan adopted the Apple Blossom as their state flower on April 28th, 1897. Since I’m from Colorado, my other favorite flower is the white and lavender Columbine. A Colorado Women’s Club in Cripple Creek back in 1899 made the Rocky Mountain Columbine the official state flower after discovering it was never officially declared.
