I’ve checked out some of the new shows that have premiered this Fall. Flash Forward, I was addicted to after the first show aired. It is going to take the place of Lost when it ends next year. The writers are clever and we are kept hanging after every episode.
Flash Forward is all about this blackout that happened and some people saw glimpses of supposedly their future. There were some people, who did not see anything during the blackout and some of those people have died. John Cho (Harold from Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and Hikaru Sulu in the remake of Star Trek) did not see anything during the blackout. He is an FBI agent trying to figure out why the blackout happened.
In the first episode, John gets a phone call from some lady, who tells him that during the blackout she saw John get murdered. This is not the only interesting tidbit that we must mull over week after week. D. Gibbons is supposedly a bad person, so told by us by Joseph Fiennes’ little girl, who saw D. Gibbons during the blackout. We were left wondering what Jack Davenport was involved in and was he the cause of the blackout after he gets a call from Dominic Monaghan (Charlie from Lost) at the end of last Thursday’s episode.
Supposedly, there was a previous blackout and many black birds have died during these blackouts, which takes Joseph Fiennes to Somalia to see if he can find some answers. A Nazi war criminal tipped Joseph about the black birds, but first he made sure if he gave information that he would be released from prison. I’m sure the Nazi war criminal will be showing up in up coming episodes.
Joseph has seen clues to the blackout in his Flash Forward. Some of those clues have transpired and he hopes to figure out the cause of the blackout before more tragedy happens.
I love these type of shows that leave you hanging and scratching your head asking, “What the hell?”
