Gavin Rossdale played at the Gothic Theater in Englewood, Colorado on May 31st. I was lucky to snag tickets through Event Chaser (subsidary of Razor Gator) for FREE!! In case there is anyone out there who does not know who Gavin Rossdale is, he was the frontman for Bush, the nineties grunge sensation. I don't consider Bush grunge, but that is how they are described. I didn't follow Bush in the nineties when they were really popular, but I did like their songs Everything Zen, Machinehead, Glycerine, Adrenaline to name a few.

When I was given the chance to write a review for Event Chaser about the Gothic Theater and Gavin Rossdale's concert I jumped on the chance. I've never been to the Gothic Theater so I had no idea where it was. Well, it's a small venue. I liked the intimate atmosphere of the place and watching a concert there is so much more fun than in a Big arena. Last year, I saw Van Halen with David Lee Roth and Bon Jovi at the Pepsi Center. I enjoyed seeing the legendary David Lee Roth strut around on stage. I have to say for being in his 50s David still is sexy!! Bon Jovi gave one hell of a performance and I've been a fan since the 80s. But the Pepsi Center is HUGE and the band was so far away. I couldn't afford floor tickets so I mainly watched the Van Halen concert on the big screen. For the Bon Jovi concert, I was a lot closer, but still far away.

At the Gothic, anywhere we sat Gavin was so close. I wish I would have went to the front of the stage to enjoy the concert, but my hubby was tired and wanted to sit. When Gavin came out to play we ended up standing the whole time so shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Well, where do I start with telling you all about the concert. Gavin is a bundle of energy despite being 41. I'm 40 and I don't think I could have jumped and danced around as much as he did. I have many blurry pictures where I tried to get pictures of Gavin, but he was constantly moving most of the time. Gavin went out in the crowd many times and yes I really kicked myself for not being up by the stage.

When Gavin knocked down the cymbals on the drum set I thought what is he doing and was amused by his destruction. He took a rest on the drum set. This was quite funny. I guess after running around on stage for a couple hours he needed a rest.

The performance that Gavin gave was spectacular. He sounded better live then what I've heard on the radio. This just shows how Gavin is an awesome performer. If you ever get the chance to catch him in action, go, go, go to a Gavin Rossdale concert you will be fully entertained.
