Quantum of Solace

I saw the new Bond movie yesterday. Actually, it was a movie watching holiday weekend. Jason and I were sick, but mainly I was down and out with getting a cold right before Thanksgiving. We spent the holiday at home watching many movies.

Seeing Quantum of Solace was planned many weeks prior, I wasn't feeling too bad so we went and watched the movie with Jason's mom. Jason and Vickie are huge Bond fans and they see every new movie. I became interested in Bond movies, because of Jason and Bond is very entertaining.

Daniel Craig as Bond, I was skeptical at first if he could play 007 as well as Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan. Plus, Craig is blond, I thought Bond has dark hair. Anyway, I saw Casino Royale and was impressed. Craig was sexy, suave and the perfect 007.

After watching, Quantum of Solace, I told Jason that I thought Casino Royale was a test run to see if Craig would get a positive public response. I say this, because there were no lose ends when the movie ended. Everything was tied up neatly and questions were answered.

Quantum of Solace left us wondering, who really were the bad guys. The guy, who escaped the clutches of torture by M, we never found out who he was or who he worked for. There were many bad guys in Quantum, but it was suggested that the corruption went beyond the players that were introduced in the movie.

Action packed would be how I would describe Quantum of Solace. It started off with action and there was plenty of stuff blown up. I had to wonder if this was a movie by Jerry Bruckheimer. The whole movie was fast paced and you had to pay attention to the details or you would get lost. I guess this could be a negative about the movie, but Quantum delivered the Bond action, beautiful women and international intrigue.
