I've been trying to think of a blog to write about and I'm not having any creative thoughts. Maybe my blog creativity is stunted due to writing all day. I thought about writing about my favorite shows, but then I didn't want my blogs to just be about television shows. However, I must share that I really enjoy the new HBO show "True Blood." I really want to know if Sam just turns into a dog or is he something more sinister. So now you all know that I have not read the "Southern Vampire" books, but if I had more time I would. I have a stack of books that I can't seem to find time to read.
Of course, I'm very happy that Obama is our new President. America needed to make some CHANGES in government. I didn't think I would live to see an African-American male elected President of the United States. But I'm really glad to have the chance to experience it. After living in the South for four years, I had seen enough to see that racism was still very much alive and kickin. Of course, living in the South isn't my only experience with racism. I, myself, experience it whenever I step out the door and encounter stupid people. With Obama as President, I don't expect racism to disappear, but I am anxious to see what will change in the next four years with him as our leader.
I've been surfing around this website where you can give advice or solicite advice. It's fun to give advice and read the many diverse comments to questions posted. Many dilemmas are serious like broken hearts, work problems, family issues, etc and then there are lighthearted questions like do you prefer soft or crunchy cookies. Personally, I just like cookies, hard, soft, store bought or homemade. They're all good to me with a glass of milk.
And I discovered a website that actually pays a person to write Erotica stories. There needs to be more websites for freelance writers that actually pay you for your creativity. My days are spent writing, writing, writing and watching my crazy, goofy dogs chew on socks and chase each other in the backyard. And thank God for DVR, this is the only way I am able to catch my favorite shows.
Oh, I finally saw the movie "The Shining," on Halloween. I avoid scary movies. I'm a puss. I can't handle spooky or slasher movies. I saw "Sixth Sense" and "I am Legend" and it took me months to get over what I saw. Nightmares, these types of movies make me have bad dreams and make my imagination run wild. Anyway, "The Shining" wasn't bad, which means it wasn't too scary. Jack Nicholson was fantastic as a lunatic and the hotel in Estes Park, "The Stanley" really is haunted. It's beautiful up there. I attended a wedding at the hotel. The moutains are breath taking. But regardless of how fantastic it looks, I'd go nutty too if I was staying in that BIG hotel, isolated and ghosts running amuck. Eeekk. If you haven't seen "The Shining" check it out, it's a classic.
I could babble on and on, but I don't want to bore my fellow friends. Good Night.
